Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

FixYa CAPTCHA

Watch this Video on you tube to see how the CAPTCHA
(affectionately known as craptcha) works.

The reason for this little device is to limit SPAM against the site.

On occasion it has been known to be a little troublesome but always gets there in the end.
be careful with the characters 1 and I as quite often the distortion for these characters can confuse your response. You may end up putting an "I" instead of the number "1"
The other most confused Character is the NUMBER "0" ZERO !
This too is quite often mistaken as the LETTER "O".
Luckily the CAPTCHA offers the option of showing you a new one if you cannot make out the correct letter or number.
You do not need to match the case of a character so in the case of "ABCDEF" you could just as easily use "abcdef" and the system will accepts it.

why do i have to press a combination of keys even after i have put in my correct username and password in any website for login?e.g press the above keys shown in the box W52FD.

The combinations of keys is known as a CAPTCHA. It's used by websites to prevent spam bots from entering advertising information. You get asked to enter it so that the website has a certain level of assurance that you're an actual person and not a spam bot.

i have facebook ad how i delete the facebook ad asap

Hi,

  • 1Copy and paste http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account once you have logged on. This screen will present itself:

  • 2Click "Submit" and follow instructions. There will be a simple password and a Captcha spam check to enter in. Captcha spam checks are to make sure you are the real owner of your account and not an automated program.

  • 3Do not login or connect with your Facebook account. You will receive an email saying that your account will be deleted in 14 days. Any interaction with the account during that period could prevent it from being deleted, so for 14 days:
    • Do not try to login to your Facebook account; you may want to clear your browser cache and delete your cookies so that you don't login inadvertently.
    • Do not click the Facebook Share or Like button on any site you visit.
    • Do not use Facebook Connect to login to or signup on any site (see Before You Start, above.)
  • 4Wait and watch. At the end of 14 days, all of your posts, comments, info, etc., will be permanently made inaccessible on Facebook.

  • Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

I think this is affectionately known as the Red Ring of Death!

Never fear, Microsoft provided an extended warranty on this fault! On the rear of your Xbox there should be a label with a date on, this will tell you the manufacture date.

    Goto Xbox Support

and follow the link on the right for the repair process.
