Tip & How-To about Toshiba (4CH-VOUT) Sound Card

Toshiba U305 Realtek sound card problems

About two weeks after I got my new laptop, the sound card started working sporadically. I am sure it is a driver problem because when it works, it works, perfectly. There seems to be some interactionb with USB devices because if I disconnect my optical mouse and external hard drive, Vista will load my Realtek drivers more consistantly but still not flawlessly. There slso seems to be something to do with their load sequence in Startup. This sucker also has a Realtek LAN driver installed and that may be causing part of the problem. The only indication of a problem that Vista reports to me is a flash card problem taht Adobe is working on. No event is listed in Event Manager for the Realteq problem. The only thing I can get from Device Manager is the sound card driver will not load. I am running driver version 6.0.1.5574 from Toshiba. Toshiba Tech Support was no help at all - nothing but a bunch of idiots. I have been in computers since TRSDOS machines - mid 70's. I have also owned 4 Toshiba laptops - all of which are still working. I am running V ista 6001 on this machine with the latest BIOS upgrade friom Toshiba on it. It is one month old, today.

my laptop speaker stop working from it self

After reinstalling/installing an Operating System you can lose the Audio Drivers or sometimes they just corrupt.. Try reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the disk provide with your P.C./Laptop. If you no longer have the disk just visit the website of the makers of your P.C./Laptop or Motherboard and download the Audio Drivers from there, after that install them.
Thumbs up please if this works for you, thanks..

my touch paid donot work proparly .

If it is being sporadic, try restarting your computer. If that doesnt work, try disabling it, then enabling it again. (make sure you plug in a standard mouse first). Also, make sure your drivers are up to date. If you recently installed something new, try a system restore to an earlier time when it worked.

hp dv 7-1135nr speaker won't work, headphones do

I suddenly got the same problem on my dv4-1120us today.. However by updating the audio driver to this one it started working again:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp41501-42000/sp41616.exe

You better take a look at HP's website.. maybe you will need a slightly different driver, since your computer is not exactly the same as mine. I'm sure the sound card is the same, but better safe than sorry. good luck!

Go into the device manager and uninstall the sound drivers, then reboot the machine. Upon start up it will find new hardware and reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't do it, then you may have blown the sound card or speakers.
