Who made your Sears Kenmore Range, Stove, or Oven?

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Sears does not make any of its own appliances. They have different manufacturer’s make them for them. To see who actually made the appliance you can check out the model number of your appliance and then look to see who made it.

The first three digits of the model number refer to the manufacturer.

- Roper made appliances starting with these numbers

-Whirlpool made appliances starting with these numbers
-Caloric made these

-Kelvinator made these

-Gibson starts with 253

-D&M starts with 587

-GE made these

-Speed Queen starts with 651

-Maytag starts with 925

-Litton starts with 747

-Toshiba starts with 562

-Fedders starts with 484

-Amana starts with 596

-WCI starts with 790

-Tappan starts with 791

-Jenn Air starts with 629

This will give you an idea as to who made an appliance. By simply checking the model number and comparing it to this list you can see who made it.

has gone bang need a rewiring diagram for it to be fixed

A wiring diagram is not going to help you fix it. You need the knowledge and tools to diagnose the problem before you can fix it.

My lamona single oven has stopped working but previously was fine. What can I do please ?

Hello Hayley Wager, fix it.

None of your appliance nomenclature came through with your question...

First avenue to restoration ...

Check your power sources... cycle the breakers
(turn off & back on).

Check your oven settings to make sure they are NORMAL...
No delay or TIMED cooking programs have been invoked.

Clear all settings...

failing all the above... get out your manual and read the RESET instructions...

Failing that read the TROUBLE SECTION...

New manuals can USUALLY by obtained On-Line by
inputting (for a search)

owners+manual+(your make)+(your model)...

likewise: parts/spares... +(your make)+(your model)...

While good information can be had at SEARs my favorite (USA) is
appliancepartspros.com for prices...

Although SEARs is beginning to become competitive... always get three estimates.

My first suggestion.. when buying parts for an oven... on a guess
is the thermostat

You can get a cheap volt-ohm meter and test your heating element...

Not knowing the make and model... I can only say the bake & broil elements are usually different... one work... but not the other means good power & switching (usually the element itself).

Happy hunting...

bottom oven lights keep burning out.

The oven bulb is different from an appliance bulb. The glass and base are specific for the high temperature application that is seen in a oven

The link from sears shows a sample of an oven bulb and the price represents the special characteristics.

I have seen where some bulbs are rated at 130 volts?

This link from Amazon relays some of the one star reviews of the appliance light used in the oven application. All ovens are maybe not equal where the heat may be more significant in one make over another.

Another set of reviews that again show problems in some applications for bulb life.
