try to turn off the phone, remove the battery, make sure sim is placed currently, keep battery out for 30-60 seconds, put battery back and turn on phone should work. if it's still giving you a hard time, check the capacity on your phone maybe it's backed-up

HELP!! my nokia 6500s wont allow me to get on the menu screen,, whenever it starts up,, it shows Push to talk,, and it wont go away,, ive restarted it several times,, it still shows push to talk,, push to talk wont let me get into the actual menu,, and i cant get to my new messages,, none of the keys seem to work,, please help,,,

Try doing this. Turn off the unit, remove the battery, press and hold the power button (while battery is out), then put the battery back and turn it back on. If that doesn't work, just repeat the steps including removing the Sim Card. Or turn on the unit without a Sim Card.

You can also try using reset codes but that would reset EveryThing back to default settings which might include losing the settings of your provider which is not recommended. But the initial step is safe to use.

Hope this helps.

cellphone was dropped accidentaly in a tub full of water

Yikes, try the old standby- remove the battery, sim card, memory card, and get out a hair dryer. Set it on low and carefully blow warm air into every nook and cranny of the phone for about 5 mins. Then blowit on everything else as well- attery, sim. memory card. Placed everything on a towel for 48 hours or so, pray a lot, and 2 days later put everything back together. Change up the battery to the max, before you turn it on for the first time, and pray one more time. If you're lucky everything should have dried out nicely, and the phone will work. Do not under any circumstances try to turn on the phone unless it is thoroughly dried out, because water and electricity just don't mix.

please help me

try to reset the phone, for the hard reset on the phone, you need to take off the battery of the phone then remove the sim card. After that place the battery back without the sim, please enter *2767*3855#. Just a reminder everything will be deleted on the phone, it will restore back to the factory settings. If this procedure would not help the phone needs a reflash.

Phone says "charge complete" but then just dies

I took your suggestion and replaced the SIM card, but the difference is I managed to locked it in tightly. It worked.
