Tip & How-To about Cell Phones
How many of Us have Actually Seen this Code on the Cellphone?
This is not an ERROR. PUK stands for ' Personal Unblocking Key'. It is also known as PUC ( Personal Unblocking Code ). This Code could ONLY be offered by the Service Providers. You need to Call up the Service Provider ( More often from another Phone ) and ask for PUK. You need to Verify all the Personal Details before they would Provide PUK Code.
There is NO Charge for the same. For Most of the Service Provider's, if you Enter Wrong PUK Code more than 3 Times, either the Device, Sim or Both could be Damaged.
Why this usually Happen?
I could Provide you with the Most Common Reason. Whenever you tried to Use a Sim that belongs to a Different Carrier, more often you would Face this Problem.
Note - There is no way to get PUK code from any other Vendor, Site or anyone.
Make sure Once you Call them, you also need to Provide them with your Cellphone IMEI ( International Mobile Equipment Identity ). This could be retrieved by Pressing *#06# on your Handset.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
