Tip & How-To about Televison & Video

The Philips GO-Gear unit is got stuck frozen?

Make sure the hol/lock is not engaged. As logn as it's not engaged, run the Repair in Philips Device Manager. If the Device Manager will not recognize the player: Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off.Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab.Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions. This will help.Good luck.

my philips gogear wont turn on

It could be a hardware issue requiring replacement, but here are the things you can try to narrow it down:
1. Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged
2. Reset the player
3. Run an Updated using the latest version of the Philips Device Manager from Philips website
4. Run a Repair in Philips Device Manager

If these methods fail, call Philips to see if you are still in-warranty.

good morning, my go gear is stuck, it will not allow me to operate any of the buttons. It just stay on one screen, and the computer does not recognize the go gear Hello. I'm having the same problem with my daughter's Philips Gogear sa3025/37. She was listening to voice recordings when the Gogear froze up. It is now stuck on one screen and my computer doesn't recognize it when it's plugged in.
