Tip & How-To about Office Equipment & Supplies

The printed words comes out as the hand is rubbed on the printed paper?

There are many possibilities .The most common are as follows:-- First, the fusser assembly may be damaged or at the end of its life. The solution is to replace the fusser assembly. Repairing a fusser assembly is generally not recommended because the fusser is considered a consumable printer part and not worth the time or effort to fix. Second, the toner cartridge may be defective and letting too much toner out at one time. In a black-and-white laser printer, the solution is to replace the toner cartridge. In a color laser printer, only replace the cartridge that is exhibiting the problem. Third, some toner may have spilled in the printer. If so, you'll need to clean it out. This will help.good luck.

how can i cycle power

Dear
It might be thermostat open, pl. open the fusser assembly check the thermostat for continuity one or two bottom like thing having two wings. if its open detach this and knock hardly with hand and ay hard surface it may reset to show continuity. put the thermostat in it position and check.

Also it may happen the fusser melts, If the fusser roller and pressure roller attached each other then you have to replace both fusser and SMPS. If you are not sure as it was connected to DG set power.
Thanks.

Specks on print out of Mono Laser Printer HL2040

If its spots this could have been from the cartridge or the fusser unit...
Do a half print test...send a print page to your printer listen to the printer print as soon as you think the printer has printed some little bit switch off the printer...take the cartridge and view the printed portion can you see the spots..if not.....than its your fusser unit thats marking the paper....remove the half printed paper slowly.....not to tear it......remover the fusser unit(hot unit)........at the back of the printer....towards the top....on the unit it self you will see a Teflon paper ....move the gear on the far end of the fusser unit itself and view if there is any spots....try cleaning this spots slowly as not to damage the Teflon or mark the Teflon.....
