You're orientation lock is on. Slide your finger from the bottom up and you will see a little circle with an arrow. That should open it back up for you.

What is the lock with circle arrow next to battery on iphone 3gs?

Thaat is saying that your iphone is locked in portrait mode. If you double press your home button, and then go to the left, you'll find the corresponding button to unlock it so you can view it landscape.

3gs iphone won't go landscape in contacts

The iPhone doesn't have a landscape setting in the Phone app. Some apps are set where they only work either landscape or portrait.

how to use the letters on iphone keypad

Hi, initially you might be having issues with using keypad on iPhone, but as you practice, you will get a lot better at it. Initially, try using the keypad with your index finger, and do that for atleast one week, before jumping into using both the hands.

Also, turn on your dictionary, so that even if you type wrong, auto correct will help you get the words right, without having to erase and retype. If the guessed word is not what you want, click on the 'x' on that word, so the word doesnt change to the suggested one.

If you are still having issues, use the landscape mode which didvides the keys into broader space, and the typing gets lot easier. There are few apps, on iTunes store, for free, whihc you can download (for ex: easy email free), so that, even for email, you can type in landscape mode.

Post back if you have any more questions.

android broswer

Hi there,

Seems like their could be potentially a mechanical problem with regards to the screen orientation.
Or your settings could be wrong.

Whilst in the Internet browser you can change from portrait to landscape by pressing the menu key, Touching the "more" tab, and then scrolling down to "flip orientation".

Due to this being a possible hardware problem i would advise contacting T-Mobile Customer support to see if they have a remedy. Although, in the near future, an application will be released for android giving the G1 Auto-Orientation features using the phones built in accelerometer.

Hope this helps
