Is there a fuse in the laptop. I have power to the laptop but nothing goes on

Laptops do have a fuse near the DC power jack but it is soldered on to the board so it can't be changed. More likely than that you have a bad power jack. If your symptoms were intermittent charging or powering which got worse with time or if you wiggled the power cord you might get a connection it is probably the DC jack. These are repairable but require dis-assembly and some light soldering. If you are uncomfortable attempting that a shop usually charges about $80 to do it. To try it yourself download a service manual for your model, purchase the part (about $10), and give it a try.

We Dont Kno!!!

Check your mains adapter plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced.

If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop power it up then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.
This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. I suggest you get a quote first.

SONY VAIO BATTERY CHARGING

This is not a problem, this is a designed function to increase battery life. To adjust this, go to "vaio control centre", and then power management. Inside this is battery care, here you can adjust the settings or de-activate this function.

battery not charging

do a complete discharge by setting your power options to allow that to happen from the control pannel then recharge and see what happens.

Often this fix it.

Good thing to do to extend battery life esp if the laptop is pluggin alot.
