Neither the freezer or the refrigerator side will stay cold. It is 11 years old.

11 years old ... will not cool ... will cost about $100.00 to have it looked at and if it is a compressor, that will be another $250 or more. Efficiencies have increased significantly in the past 11 years. Might make sense to replace it. Check with your utility, they may offer a buy back plan if you upgrade your frig.

On the other hand, you could have it repaired. It could last a long time yet ... but it will be a costly repair in my guess.

LCD flickering at the bottom of screen

This appears to be a faulty CCFL lamp which supplies the back-light.
Because it is less than 6 months old, I suggest you get it fixed under warranty.
If you try to fix it yourself you will void your warranty.
