Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

How to use accelerometer\motion sensor on nokia n95

Nokia n95 has got an inbuilt motion sensor like the iphone the only thing is that the company didnt provide the software to utilise that hardware. However if u got a nokia n95 and dont have the software to use motion sensor most simple thing to do is ill suggest u to upgrade your phones firmware to v 30.0.015 because this version has got inbuilt software to use motion sensor in phone.for upgrading your phone u just need to got to -www.nokia.com,and download software update which is approx 23 mb file or u have a better and simpler option go to ur pc suite {latest version} there is a option for software update u just need to click that. Do's and Donts while updating ur phone- Do's- 1) do check that u have atleast 75% of battery 2) ensure that u have 5taken back up of ur phone via pc suite this will help u to save ur contacts, msgs etc Dont's- 1) never try to upgrade urself if u have a weak internet connection because it will take ages to complete 2) Do not disconnect ur phone while updating because if u do so then no software update will work ull have to flash ur phone and beleive me its gonna cost u few bucks. 3) before updating check that u have inverter for ur pc and if there is any kind of electricity faliure ur pc shouldnt shut down.
U can either turn on or off the motion sensor utility by going to menu-tools-settings-general-personalisation-display-rotate screen. though company has just provided with auto rotation feature there are many other features used with the help of motion sensor like motion sensor games as in the iphone. -Thank you
