LG L196WTQ No display, Power save mode?

Hello,

Many people have the L196WTQ monitor and when the picture goes out they think that its in power save mode. Well it you turn the unit off and then back on and still have no picture then that rules out power save because the picture should be back on. The most likely cause of no picture, on power or blinking power light is a failed power supply. You should be able to do the repair yourself. We have a step by step repair guide for the LQ L196WTQ posted on our web page at: www.ccl-la.com It give details part numbers and pictures to help you get back going again. if you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for this unit, it runs $30 plus shipping. if you have any questions just contact us thru the web page.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

lg 1752s goes into power saving mode when pc is turned on

Hello Alan,

That is actually not power saving mode, the flashing power light indicates the power supply is not starting up correctly and keeps shutting down and trying again. This is a very common symptom of a failure of the capacitors on the power supply board. The L1752s uses the AIP0157 power supply board which is the same board the is used in several LG monitors such as the L196WTQ and L194WT. Here is a link to a repair guide for the L196WTQ that shows what capacitors to look for and replace on the power supply board to bring the unit back to life.

Look in the power supply section first for bad caps, post back what you find inside, pictures will help a lot to guide you through, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

How do I get the Monitor out of analog power save mode

Hello,

More than likely the unit is not in power save mode, When in power save and you turn the unit off and back on you will get a picture. If its still will not display a picture or your power light is blinking then you have a shorted power supply board. We have a step by step repair guide posted on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com Look it over and check your monitor, this is the most common cause of no power, picture or just a blinking power light. If you have any questions just ask, We have full technical support available.

L196WTQ monitor has suddenly gone into analog power saving mode. How do I get out of that mode? The monitor worked fine for many months. This just happened today. I have already unsuccessfully tried restarting with blue (analog cable) disconnected.
