There are light blue dots on the center of my Sony television and there seems to be more and more dots each day with a light blue sploch on the bottom of the screen. The light signalling me to change the lamp is not on. The tellevision is six years old.

Sony TVs has an Optical Block issue. If there is an issue with the optical block, then there will be green, blue patches or tint on the TV display. Try resetting the TV to the factory settings and try Power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then TV may require service. You can contact the Customer relations team at 1-239-768-7547 and ask for the recall issue Sony had repaired free of cost for such issues previously. Hence, contact the customer relations.

there is a dotted vertical lines in the screen of my laptop..compaq presario m200.. 3 lines are visible..

You need to verify if the issue is present prior to posting. On boot up hit the del key (see laptop screen for prompt, it may be a diferent key). If the lines are still present there is a hardware issue and you will need to get if serviced.

If the lines do not show there then boot the machine and try changing the display setting for standard VGA to 800x600 to 1024X... (actual numbers may vary). If problem still persists then try relaoding the video controller and screen drivers and or searching the HP/Compaq website for patches.

Note: always make sure you keep you OS up-to-date with the latest patches.
