Most probably your Microsoft Office has already expired. If your computer came with a microsoft office 2010 then it could just be a trial version. try to check the status of your office word if its an expired trial version by pulling up microsoft word, click file on the upper left then go to help. there you can see it the one you have is a trial version and if it has already expired

This can be obtained directly from Microsoft once you have bought it - it's around $50. If you don't have that much money then uninstall it and get another Office suite, a free one this time

unable to save anything!

You are still using a trial version of the office. Microsoft Windows office will not allow you to save once your trial version expires. Check to be sure you have a full version.
Uninstall all former versions.
Check your system clock to be sure its using a current date and time.
Install the full version of windows office and you should be ok. Cheers
