Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

Common fix for common problems.

This may seem like a no brainer.. however many people don't do it and write up a million forum posts trying to fix problems. I would say 50% of problems in windows can be solved by either rebooting your pc or restarting your modem and/or router. Next solution is a new driver.. try these before submitting a ticket and waiting on the edge of urseat for a solution!

It is a computer problem. My daughters machine did the same thing and the company came out and replaced the computer board and it fixed the problem.

I have 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and have SAME problems - Nav error reading disc. I tried another disc but did not work. No one seems to have an ANSWER on our posts in this forum - I know to clean the disc that is a no brainer -SURPRISED NO ANSWERS from anyone since we all seem to have this problem.

i think the issue with all these problems is that the fan in the back of the navigation system fails and then the disc overheats tremendously (mine overheated to the point that I could not touch it) and then it can not be read.

It happened also to me -the problem is caused by a broken flat cable, which is connecting aperture/shutter coils from inside of the lenses to controller board - it is poorly manufactured probably too short (extra stress at endo of zoom). I tried to repair it - by soldering to repair damaged part, see some photos there:

Be carreful when trying the same, not forget to discarge flash capacitor and document all the taken-off parts to be able to assemble everthing back.
