Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet
32bits or 64bits
The 32 bits is the one we have been using is the most common one, out there, thus is easier to install, and most computers would run this operating system.
64 or X64, as we call it, it requires a more powerful system, I would keep this short so would not get on specifics, with x64 the following would happen.
Your old printer, might not work, your computer drivers, would not work, on most cases, so if you don't want to be hunting around for drivers, or modified drivers, for your x64 system, just stay with the 32 bit version, unless you are a computer guy, you won't notice the difference.
The minimum I would recommend if you would want to install the x64, make sure you have a processor that would support it, most new processor now days do support the large file system, make sure you have the maximum amount of memory, at least 2 gigabytes, the more the faster as the rule.
I have been running the x64 version on my systems since the Vista version, and is fine, unless you run heavy load programs such as movie editing and multimedia, you won't see the difference.
hope that helps.
