Tip & How-To about Office Equipment & Supplies

How to connect a wireless printer.

First things first. Make sure that you have the same username and password set up on the machines you want to use as your print server and the machine(s) you are going to print from, the or the "Client".. This is required so that you can communicate with the other machine(s), "Clients".. Once you have the machines’ usernames and passwords set, you can turn to the machine with the printer attached to it. (which we will call the print server). From this machine (The one we have called the print server), we will need to set up the default printer on it. So install the software & drivers for the printer. Test that you can do a "Test Print" . Then we will need to go to Printers and Faxes in the control panel. You need to right click on the printer that you want to share, and choose properties. When you get to the properties page for the printer, click on the tab that says "Sharing". That will enable the client PC to "See" & be able type in the printer’s name. Usually the software will put the "Printers" name in. It will be grayed out until you click the radio button to share it.
Now, when you are ready, go to the "Client" computer you want to print from, wirelessly. When you set up your printer, go to install the printer, and you install a "Networked Printer" you then you "Tell" the installer where the "Printer" "is on the network". So when asked for location you then you can "Browse" for the printer, or type and your IP address OR host name, and Printer name too.. Mine is 192.168.1.64 OR heaven, so I typed 92.168.1.64, OR the Name of the machine. So say: As in my case, 92.168.1.64BrotherD or heavenBrotherD. Anyway, this will then go away, and connect to the "Printer" and do some houskeeping & finish, from then on, you will be able to print. try a test print the same as you did on the "Print Server". If you wish to print from say, Word, do it, by simply choosing the correct printer from the print menu that comes up whaen you try to print. Ensure you right click on the Printer Icon on Client and choose "Default Printer" too. You can also right click on documents and images files, and select "Print".
Also ensure that the print server is set to on, in Services too, on BOTH machines.

  3. Click the Control tab

Via a web browser
Because web based management requires the TCP/IP protocol for communication, any reset option you see when managing the machine with a web browser, will not reset the IP address details that are set. If you wish to totally reset all the print server parameters we recommend you reset the print server by using the BRAdmin application.
To reset the print server (excluding TCP/IP parameters) follow these steps:
  1. Connect to the printer using a web browser.
  2. Click Network Configuration.
  3. Enter the print server password (the print server password is detailed in the user guide for the print server) if it's applicable.
  4. Click the Set Default link or Reset Print Server.
Via the control panel (only for network ready models)
  1. Make sure the machine is not operating, then disconnect all the cables from the machine (except power cable).
  2. Press the Menu or Menu/Set key on the control panel.
  3. Press up or down navigation key to select LAN or Network and press Set, Menu/Set or OK.
  4. Press up or down navigation key to select Factory Reset or Network Reset and press Set, Menu/Set or OK.
  5. Select Reset.
  6. Select Yes.
  7. The machine will re-start, re-connect cables once this is complete.

i have print server dp300u it demand to password but i know this password plz tell how find password

In order to get your router back to the original settings, you must push in the reset button (usually on the back of the router) for somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds depending on the router. You may need a pin or something small to push in the button, because it can be recessed. Once you have reset the router, the username and password will be changed to the defaults, admin and password, respectively. One thing you must remember is that resetting the router will change all of the router settings back to the factory settings. This means you will lose all of the changes you made since you got the router. Make sure to write down any things you've changed, so you can change them back after the reset. Also, I recommend updating to the latest firmware after the reset.
If you need more help post back! Thumbs and testimonial are welcome!
