Tip & How-To about Car Audio & Video

Radio codes

Over the time i have been with Fixya i have noticed so many times that people have requested codes for their radios, due to flat batteries, Always remember to write your code down and put it somewhere safe, and if you don't know what your code is a good garage should be able to tell you for a small fee.

Its a theft thing. Unplug both battery cables and hold them together. At same time have someone push and hold brake peddle in for 1 minute. It will reset.

Unfortunitly that radio requires a code that you enter thru the presets normally 4 to 6 numbers found in the original hand book that came with the car if not available youll need to contact the dealer an request code forradio an you will need the registration for car to prove it is your car might have to register it with the dealership be carefull not to put wrong code in more than 4 times it will be permanantly damaged due to antitheft feature built in to radio
