Tip & How-To about Refrigerators

Electical Shock Danger

The Danger of Electrical ShockElectric power does a tremendous amount of work. But because it’s such a powerful force, we need to be very careful with it.
People are injured or killed every year by electricity. The reasons are almost always carelessness, a faulty appliance or tool, or a lack of knowledge about how electricity works.Understanding how electricity works will help. Electricity naturally flows to the earth, or to ground, through anything that will conduct electrical current. There are some compounds, like wood and glass, that are not good conductors of electricity. But electricity will pass through the human body, sometimes with fatal results, trying to get to ground. If an appliance or tool is faulty or has a shorted wire, for example, the electric current may try to find another path to ground. That’s why electrical systems should always be grounded. A safe path to ground for electricity is away from your body and confined within whatever piece of electrical equipment you’re using. be safe. be safe not sorry. arrive alive.

where can we find thermocouple for adru richelieu fireplace?

I apologize I do not recognize the brand but since a month has passed without an answer I can tell you we have often had to find a replacement without being able to go through a manufacturer. For a fireplace we would need you to upload pictures of the control valve because it is very common for a fireplace valve to have a thermopile and not a thermocouple. If the valve has a battery pack or a electrical plug then the chances are that you have a thermocouple but if there is not an external power source the flame is probably heating a thermopile in order to generate the power needed for the controls.
If that is the case you would need to physically bring it to a shop to be tested for the proper amount of power needed because thermopiles can have a tremendous range.

During self-cleaning cycle we heard a loud pop and it tripped the breaker. Oven and stovetop (ceremic) still work but we smell the same smell from that cleaning cycle like electrical burning? Is there any danger of a fire?

If any appliance trippes the breaker there is a problem that has to be looked into, no appliance should trip MCBs or RCBs (trips), ISOLATE THE MAINS POWER BEFORE REMOVING ANY PANELS
A visual inspection of the rear is required, also the electrical mains connections. Look into this do not use the appliance until you have resolved the problem, it may turn out an amount of food had been stuck beside one of the heating elements, and causing a smell, better to be safe.
Let me know if you require any further assistance.

Hi My Konica Minolta 1490 is asking me to insert the toner card after replacement of the toner of wish i dont have what can i do

The toner cartridge may not be properly seated in the printer, or the electrical contacts may be dirty. Take the cartridge out and inspect all of the electrical contacts (any place where metal in the printer touches metal on the cartridge. Wipe off any dust or toner on these on both the printer and cartridge. Re-install the cartridge. Note: it should not take a tremendous amount of force to get the cartridge in or close the lid after it. If it doesn't fit together, something is in at the wrong angle.
