Mounting Win partitions (without password) In Ubuntu Karmic

Mounting Windows partitions in Ubuntu Karmic
prompts for the administrator password by default.



It can be deactivated in easy way:

1.
Applications> Accessories> Terminal
When you open this copy it (when you ask for your password, type):
sudo gedit /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.devicekit.disks.policy

2.
In the file, search for the line (probably 34th):

auth_admin_keep

3.
Replace the above line with the following line:

yes

4.
Save
changes and close the file.

5.
Reboot your system.
