Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

Downloaded games freezing on pc

Hi,
Turn off your pc or unplug,
Take the side off the modem ,
clean out any dirt and dust.
You can use an air blower or a can of computer dust remover,
I also used a qtip dipped in alcohol to clean the fan blades.
Make sure the fans are completely clean.
Be careful not to move or loosen any wires.
And put back together.
I clean out my pc about once a year
Now all my downloaded games run like a dream.

I hope this helps you,
Please give me feed back,
Debbie :)

What causes black, soot-like dirt in heating ducts?

I would open your air handler cover so you can see the blower wheel (Fan inside the unit) and get a flashlight and verify the wheel is not caked up with dust/dirt, if it is it will need to be pulled out and cleaned.
Also you will want to inspect the part of your evaporator coil on the bottom side, the part thats not easy to get to and veryfy that it is clean, not just the part you can see easily but the part thats hard to get to. As a tech i simply use a light and a extendabkle mirror to inspect.
Hope this helps.

Hi jeepers 3090...
Shutdown and un-plug your computer...take it outdoors and open it up.
I would recommend that you take the cover/or side off depending on your computer..
After you have your cover off, use high pressure air 50-60 psi to clean the dust out of your hardware on then inside. Dust is going to go everywhere, that is why I recommended that you take it outside to clean.
If you do not have the availability of high pressure air, you can use the "Canned Air"...it will work, but just not as affective.
After cleaning reassemble
Note: DO NOT OVER REV YOUR COOLING FAN/S

The fan in Fujitsu AST9RSG is blocked with dust and impedes air flow-How do i clean it. [AIR CONDITIONER]

Hi,
Get a couple of can of the "air in a can" like you would use to clean a computer keyboard or the computer power supply fans etc...
Take the spout and blow it backwards into the blower and move it back and forth. The dust and dirt will break loose and fly out all over the place but it will get you working again.
You may still need to spray out the coil also... That is actually an much more difficult and messy job.
