Tip & How-To about Philips DivX DVD Player

VirtualDub Filters best use, Delogo vs. Logoaway with examples

This full popular tip sadly was overwritten without the benefit of backup I have found the original screendumps that compare Delogo and Logoaway, the former will always come out on top as it has the ability to set which frames the repair will apply to 34510-34520 will only repair 20 frames starting at 34510 then only other filter that will allow you to do this is Donald Graft's Logo v1.72b filter that can also be used for logo removal but takes a bit longer check out my tip HERE on how best to do this

Delogo Filter

This filter excels at removing translucent (allowing some backgound to pass through) logos like those at the Disney channel that have partial colour information behind the logo

It is also very good at removing and opaque (allowing nothing to pass through) and semi-transparent (allowing almost all colour information to pass through)

Logoaway Filter

The UGLARM setting on this filter gives similar results to the DeLogo Filter when the pixel aspect ratio is set to 1:1 that merges the info in a 45 degree cross (like the right-hand side example) the biggest drawback it that you can as yet select the frames that you want to repair like in DeLogo and Logo v1.72 from Donald Graft's website.

I accidently installed windows 8 pro on my Acer aspire E 15 which already had windows 8.1. Now how do I restore my laptop back to its original windows 8.1?

Once you install other version of windows Operating system without formatting, your Operating System and files before would goes to drive C:\windows.old folder and you can backup your files there by opening users folder, but you cant restore your system to your old 8.1 version once you overwritten it ,But you can fix this by reformatting your laptop/netbook or desktop using your original 8.1 OS installer or contact your acer aspire distributor for genuine installer, but don't forget to backup your files at folder i mentioned above.

restore one file

You do not mention what you used for making the backup. If used, for example, MS backup most likely the backup will be such that you can only restore the lot - hardly helpful if you have later versions of files that would thus then be overwritten, losing valuable later work.
For sensible backups, get the free FBackup and take a little time to select the files you really want to be backed up - preferably on to an external USB hard drive. Even 2TB ones are now very inexpensive. Opt to have two backups, say to run at same time each day - if you do not have the computer running at that time, the backup will still kick-in when you start even if a lot later that day or next. Make on a FULL backup and other a MIRROR and without any encryption. That way you will be able to access even one individual file as and when required - even without restoring. Here is a link - just remove the blanks - I think this website may delete any full links. http:// www. fbackup.com/free-download.php
