I think it is! And also it depends on what brand is your TV I have told people how to change it and they do its not hard.

And There are really good videos that show you how to I will add some links so you can see.

You just need: Standard Philips or Flathead screwdrivers, Pair of Pliers, a new lamp

I recently replaced my lamp light on my 50HM66 the tv worked great for about a week then while watching tv my screen went black and lost sound. When I turn on my tv it begins to shut off and on numerous times I also have unplugged the set for about 30 mins. Is my tv shot or is this a possible easy fix?

after replacing tv lamp cartrige for my tv Mitsubishi WD-52725, the timer green light keep flasing and tv would not turn on,

Please check the installation, the lamp door is not placed correctly or still open. this is causing the door micro switch to stay open. take out every thing and put it back exactly the wat it was before you changed the lamp. it is slso easy to by pass this switch if required.

Panasonic 52 projection tv lamp light ?

Sounds like the lamp failed early (not uncommon) and one of the fans has something rubbing on it. Clean the interior and fan filters and replace the bulb (for lamp #TY-LA2005) as follows:
Projection TV makers charge an arm and a leg for their replacement lamps. They make it easy to do but as a result the custom lamp assy is expensive. The trick is to just buy the bulb for your model TV from any number of us aftermarket sources at a fraction of the lamp price and install it in the old lamp yourself. really easy. Some models are real bulb hogs though. Look them up on the net (include the word complaint or repair) before you buy, or you might be sorry. Many class action lawsuits out there - even against some of the name brand makers.
Hope ya fix it!
