Tip & How-To about Audio Players & Recorders
When you connect the iPod to your computer, if for some reason it does not show up within iTunes; simply reset the iPod by pressing and holding both the menu and center buttons until an apple icon appears. Once you see the apple icon disconnect the iPod.
You will need to restore the iPod but first, you will need to force the iPod into disc mode.
To do this you will reset the iPod once more, except when the apple icon appears QUICKLY release both buttons and switch to pressing the play and center button until a check mark appears.
Once you see that, reconnect the iPod to your computer.
Next click on the Restore button within the summary tab that loads when you first connect the iPod. Follow all and any on screen instructions.
Note: it may take a few minutes for iTunes to pick up the device. I recommend waiting at least five minutes before deciding it will not load.
