How to set up your xbox media center with your pc media center

Go to my computer right click on the hard drive then select properties then click on the sharing tab and click on advanced sharing, then click on share this folder then, ok, apply, ok, then click start at the bottom left of the screen, control panel, network and internet, network and sharing center,
then change the following settings.
network discovery= on

file sharing=on
public folder sharing=on (password required)
password protected sharing=on
media sharing=on


then do the following:
start your media center on your xbox and start the set-up process until you get the extender code, then go to the media center on your PC and go to tasks, then scroll right to add extender click on it and then follow the set-up process.

every time i try to format my 120 GB hard drive its says there is a problem performing that action

right click on your usb drive select properties select sharing then select advanced sharing make sure there is a tick in the share this folder box

If you are running a Windows XP OS then you might be able to:
- click start right click on my computer select open
- Right click the icon of your Flash Drive (It should be F: D: or something)
- Click Properties in the menu that comes up
- Click the Sharing tab
- Click permissions
- And finally, click Allow next to Full Control.
