It aims to improve the security of Microsoft Windows by limiting application software to standard user privileges until an administrator authorizes an increase etc etc etc. Who the heck wants the definition? ^^

The simplest way to define this one is

Hi, I have windows 7 but cannot install a printer - I simply get an error ''This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer. Please contact your system administrator'' UAC is on & I'm an an administrator of the PC. This is a local printer Any help will be appreciated

Though you are an administrator if UAC is on you're not gonna be able to install anything unless you right click the installer and click on "Run as administrator"

If you are annoyed of the UAC you can try to disable it try to follow this link and Method 1 is the one I recommend but it's up to you if you Method 1 didn't disable it.

I have windows vista ultimate and it will not install service pack 1 it gets so far and then tells me there was an error that caused it not to install . Hence I have not installed service pack 1 or 2 please help

  1. Close all applications, and then restart your computer.
  2. After your computer has restarted, disable any antivirus or any antispyware applications that may load during the startup process. You can usually disable the application from the notification area. This area is located in the lower-right corner of the computer screen. To disable an application from the notification area, follow these steps:
    1. Right-click the icon of the third-party program.
    2. Click Close, Disable, Exit, or a similar term from the list of options. If these options are not available, you may have to open the application and then close or disable it in the application.
  3. As soon as you close the antivirus or the antispyware application, try to install the full download package for the service pack that you previously downloaded from the following Microsoft Download Center Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads)
  4. After you have completed the service pack installation, enable the antivirus or the antispyware application that you disabled in the previous steps.

how can i install audio divice by motherboard cd

Installing a driver is not a problem...
simply open my computer, and autorun the cd (If Autorun is enabled)
If Not, Follow these steps :

-Go to my computer,
-Right click, go to its property,
-Go to devie Manager, Click Yes to .UAC notification.
-Now go to sound & audio, expand it.
- When u find ur prefered audio device, select it & make a right click over it,
- Now click update driver,
- follow the steps & let it search the best driver from the CD
- Be patient as it would take time to surf 700MB's of cd.
- After this is done, it will install the driver software & its done..
Restart Ur System & its done..

And My Personal Advice For Vista Users,
Turn off the .UAC notification that comes everytime u click somethin to install or somethin, its really harassing.
To Disable it Follow these steps (It wont Hard Anything)
Click on start
Click on ur Photo (User Account Control)
Once it gets open, select ur profile,
U'll see a tab,
TURN OFF/ON USER ACCOUNT CONTROL FEATURE
Open it & unmark it..
Restart it & see how fast ur system can be

Hope This Helped u out...
Thanks....
