My Diamondback Team Grip bicycle grips I just bought have a plastic end cap with screw and other small part, how does this end cap go on? No instructions came with the packaging.

The small part is most likely a star nut chriscanhelp_0.jpgThis pic is proper orientation Top = Top

If so you must install this in the end of the handle bar with a hammer. First put the screw into the top of the nut and line the nut up with the open end of the haldle bar. Lightly tap the nut into the end of the bar until the screw head is ammost flush with the end of the bar. Remove the screw with allen wrenches, install grips, put screw through plastic end cap and thresd into star nut inside the bar.

Hope this helps.

The only thing I can see going wrong is the wrong star nut for your diametre of handle bar.

Assembly is as follows: Star nut first into bar,

How to change pad?

this is easy done, just follow the steps:

1. disconnect the power cord
2. turn polisher pad up
3, grip firmly randomiser in one hand (that is this bulky bit between pad and polisher)
4. grip pad and rotate it against arrow direction.

if you just need to change the abrasive, these are on hook and loop and you just lift it from the pad and replace with new one.

this action will separate pad from randomiser, if you need to remove randomiser as well, you will need spanner of appriopriate size or adjustable.

i have a whirlpool duet washer flashing a F 02 error code at the end of every load of laundry

Thank You for contacting Fixya.com.
The F-02 error massage indicatessomethin has jammed the pump, there must be two reasons...
1.) It's jammed by debris (pillow stuffing material, underwire from a bra, etc...) 2.) The pump itself has failed.
You'll need to remove the three screws that are located below the bottom front panel. (Do this easily by leaning the machine backwards toward the wall and propping the 2 front feet up with a brick or the 4" side of a 2x4) These screws are star shaped, called "Torx" screws, size #20. After you have those removed, pull the panel downward and pull out from the bottom at the same time, then set the panel aside.
Mounted to the floor of the machine near the center is the drain pump, see the hose coming out of the bottom of the tub and into the pump? That one will HAVE to be clamped off before you continue. Use 2 open end wrenches and a pair of vice grips... use the wrenches to pinch off the hose and the vice grips to clamp the TIGHTLY into place.
Now remove the drain trap cover. Rotate the hand grip counter-clockwise several turns and pull it toward you. (*THERE WILL BE SOME WATER COME OUT EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE THE HOSE CLAMPED OFF. HAVE TOWELS READY) Use a flashlight and your fingers to inspect the pump area, remove any debris you find. Make sure it's "COMPLETELY" cleared out. Then re-install the drain trap cover next remove your hose clamps. Plug your machine back in and set it to "spin only" and engage. You should hear the pump fire up and water being evacuated. If that is so? You have done it ! Rebuild everything. Or If not, you have a bad pump and it should be replaced.

Have a nice day.

how do I disassemble a dremel shoe polisher? thanks

take the 4 screws out of the bottom and take the plate off. then take the 2 screws out of the the actual polisher unit. also take the 2 screws out of the button connector thing. after that remove the electrical caps to all the wires and untwist the wires and take off the polisher unit. heres the hard part. get strong pliers or a strong gripping tool and grab hold of the metal securing covering the motor. rip the metal were it comes around and meets and once you have done that (it will take a while), the whole metal covering will come off. next you have to take the polisher pads off and untwist the plastic cones underneath the pads. now you need needle nose pliers and you will have to untwist the 4 nuts on each side with the pliers. once you have done that you can take the nuts off and slide the black motor coverings and you are left with the motor and you have disassembled the Dremel Shoe Polisher.

It leaks water out the bottom

Here is how I solved this problem. I had a small needle nose vice grip, the 'nose' is about 1 1/2 inches long. I tried to clamp the oval shaped screw heads in the vice grip in a perpendicular manner, ie the vice grip was extending away from the side of the coffee maker. There is a recess in the plastic where the screw heads are seated so they are flush when tightened. The ends of the vice grip were slightly too large to fit in this recess. So I ground down the ends of the vice grip so it could fit in the recess and grip the oval end of the screw. After clamping it tightly, I used an adjustable wrench to turn the vice grip and the screw to successfully remove them. I replaced them with normal Phillips screws during the reassembly.
