Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet
Press your power button on your CPU to power on your computer. Start pressing your F8 key on your keyboard above your number keys. Keep pressing it until a page with options such as:
Safe Mode with Networking
and a number of other options come up. Use your arrow keys to select which option you want. To boot to safe mode, choose the first option at the top of that list that says "Safe Mode" and hit Enter key.
It will take you to another page that has the operating system, press enter again. Usually, when starting in safe mode, it will allow you to login as admistrator (i.e. if you don't know the password here, it may very well be blank, try a blank password and if it doesn't work, then someone may have put one in. In this case, simply login as the usuall Username).
Once you login, your desktop will open. However, you will notice that there are not too many processes running in the bottom right of your screen. This is because safe mode does not allow all processes to run, only necessary processes. This is why sometimes you are not able to start up normally because a particular process may be blocking the login. These processes may be due to viruses or spywares.
Once you are in Safe Mode now, you can scan your computer to remove infections if that is what is blocking your startup. Or you may do whatever else it is you wanted to reach safe mode for. This tip is just to get you in. You use Safe Mode booting for all different reasons.
Hope this tip was of some help to you. If it was, kindly leave me a review so that I know I have helped someone :)
