Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

How to speed up your brand new computer

Mostly brand new computers after a few months of using, they are getting slow, right. The big reasons why is the performance of the CPU and how fast it is, is not match with the quantity of the hard drive. Let's say, 1Ghz CPU and your HDD is 180 Gb, that's too much long to read by the CPU. Computers when booting up, it only read the C: not all the drives quantity, only to detect. So, I suggest to partition your HDD by matching your CPU.
Ex.
CPU-1Ghz. - HDD- 180Gb. Partition: C:=60Gb D:=60Gb E:=60Gb

fan slow down and them high speed

change the fan ASAP, since the zooming noise and the slow performance will affect even the processor and you might end up replacing the processor as well if it persists. So get the fan ASAP and problem will be solved.

My Emachine W5243 is getting slow.... When i first got it, it was fast as 2.4GHz but now it got slower as if it was a 1.6GHz.... Is it the AMD? i ask my cozin and he said it's mostly the processor and what kind of it is and he also said, "it's fast but it well get slow easily" espacially AMD processor..... So do i need a new CPU and A new Processor with a new power supply? It's gotten really slow and i feel like throwing it to the garbade can.... "-_-.... BTW this computer really **** with a 1GB ram and a weak processor.... I found a new computer better than emachine at http://promotions.newegg.com/intel/103010/index.html?cm_sp=Homepage_SL-_-intel103010-_-http%3a%2f%2fpromotions.newegg.com%2fintel%2f103010%2f270x120.gif

Your computer is running for sh-- because you probably have too many items starting up at boot time and running in the back ground. You have to go into your msconfig files and services,.msc files to turn off unnecessary operations. And virus programs are notorious for using up memory resources and turning computer into a snail. If you have one, get rid of it and stay off the p-rn sites.

It is not the cpu or power supply responsible for the issue. It is the user at fault for overloading the machine's resources. And a new computer will get just as bad if you continue to employ the same habits as you have with this unit.

My computer is really slow going into differnt sites....the compressor fan is slow to start up...had my computer stripped down and tuned up, but it's still slow...they said the cpu is showing its age, which is 5 years old......I love my computer..do I need a new cpu maybe...Thanks

Your computer going slow could be for the following reasons: 1 Not enough RAM - remove unwanted files by cleaning the disc. Also defragment the computer. Increase the RAM 2 Virus - remove the virus 3 If you do the above you will see the improvement and no need to have a new cpu
