I had the same problems because I have a 80lb indoor Australian Cattle Dog / Shepard Mix. She's short, fat and lazy... kinda like her mommy...lol
Anyways, I went to a Kirby dealer close to home and he told me to spray this pet deodorizer on the inside of the cloth bag, outside of the actual vacuum bag. Then when you vacuum, you wont smell that icky, dirty dog smell... or what ever it is that you vacuumed up and is in your vacuum bag now.
I'm not the kind of person that baths my dog all of the time since I do have a back injury, so she does get a little stinky some times.
I did figure out after I ran out of the $15 bottle of pet deodorizer that he sold me, that any airfreshener sprayed in the same manner will work, but you have to do it every time you vacuum. I know it's a pain, but it works!
