Flickering monitor screen on laptop or lines in picture

Try this.....bottom left corner on your screen, click start.....then from the popout menu click control panel....then go to display settings(it may be personalization), click it and go to display settings, from there you want to change your refresh rate to 60, if its not set on 60 already, there are a number of things you can do from here, try changing your refresh rate first, you would click advanced settings and then change the rate....you can also change the resolution, i have mine on high....and you can also click troubleshoot.

Click on the start menu in the bottom right hand corner of the screen Find the words "Control Panel" in the start menu and click to open the control panelFind and click on the icon, "Backup and Restore Center."

Go Start menu (bottom left hand corner of the screen) > find Control Panel and click > find the icon saying Back up and restore center > choose to restore your operating system using system restore

Just right click on a BLANK area of screen and select the graphic properities from there

depending on the operating syetem vista and windows 7 will actually offer you the "change resolution" option near the bottom of the pop up when you do that.

for some reason almost everytime I turn my laptop on the screen acts real funny, the screen has numerous lines on it even when I try to log on
