Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

Windows 7 Tip#2

Shake your desktop free of clutter

If you frequently run multiple programs simultaneously, your desktop can get extremely cluttered. This can get annoying if you're working on one program and want to minimise all the other windows -- in previous versions of Windows you had to minimise them individually.

With Windows 7's "shake" feature, though, you can minimise every window except the one in which you're currently working -- in a single step. Click and hold the title bar of the window you want to keep on the desktop; while still holding the title bar, shake it quickly back and forth until all of the other windows minimise to the taskbar. Then let go. To make them return, shake the title bar again.

You can accomplish the same thing by pressing the Window key-Home key combination -- although doing that is not nearly as much fun.

et1810 runs very slow

There are lots of little things that slow down a computer, mostly it is programs that are running, but day to day clutter can slow your computer down too.
A good thing to try is to download a good program like Ccleaner or Reginout. I personally Use Reginout because i don't believe on free products.
It will analyze your computer, and clean up all that it can safely clean, inducing your registry.
It works well, and is 100% reliable.

Cleaning your messy desk can be a daunting task at times; however it is necessary. I came across a great article about desk cleaning that I think could be very useful.

It sounds as if your hard drive is cluttered. Defrag it and then get a free program called CCleaner. Run that to clean your registry. That should solve your problem.
