Unfortunately , there are no secure sources where you could upgrade from , not even at Microsoft's .
You need to buy the install disc in an officially recognized shop .

I installed Windows 7 on a laptop (HP DV2000) now the it give problems to come on, I tried over and over finaly i got Windows Vista 32bit on it, but it still giving the same problem, what can i do or how can the problem be corrected


Windows 7 is designed for latest hardware and the Laptop you are using is quite an old. We will face compatibility issues.

I suggest you to run a Compatibility Advisor to know which Windows 7 version is compatible for your Notebook.

Install the suggested version using an upgrade Disk. If you use retail version, you will face the driver compatibility issues.

All windows 7 driver will not available. But, you can use Vista driver for Windows 7 if it is installed using an upgrade disk
