Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

How to get a Subsidy Unlocking code (to use your phone with a differet company)

First, you'll want to obtain the IMEI or ESN (serial number). You can do this by removing the battery and looking at the sticker on the back of the phone. There will be several numbers, but only one labeled the IMEI or ESN.

Then contact the provider/carrier the phone is locked to currently (AT&T, Verizon, etc). Provide them with the IMEI or ESN and they will provide you with not only the code, but also with HOW to put in the code since some phones are more difficult than others.

Now the process is complete, and the phone is now ready to be used with a different company.

how to unlock a sony ericsson F305 to use with any company

Remove the battery, and look for a serial number labeled either an IMEI or an ESN on the sticker behind where the battery was.

Once you have this number, contact the carrier it was created to be used on (AT&T, Verizon, whomever) and provide them with the IMEI or ESN. Upon obtaining this number, they can provide you with the unlocking code as well as the process to enter it into your phone.

i want to unlock my new blackberry 9530 from verizon

You'll first need to obtain the IMEI or ESN (both basically mean serial number, but depending upon who the carrier is, it will have a different name). You can do this by removing the battery and looking at the sticker located on the back of the phone. There will be several numbers on this sticker, but only one labeled an IMEI or ESN.

Next, contact the provider/carrier the phone is locked to currently. You'll see their name or logo on the phone somewhere. Some common ones are AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Provide them the IMEI or ESN and they will provide you with the unlocking code as well as HOW to put in the code since all phones are different.

Hope this helps! :)
