Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

HOW TO USE A TRIAL SOFTWARE AGAIN AND AGAIN WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE

TO DO THIS YOU NEED A SOFTWARE NAMED "PROCESS MONITOR" BY THE MICROSOFT FROM THE LINK
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx

PROCESS MONITOR is a free tool for Windows that shows real-time file system, Registry and process/thread activity. With this you can see which applications are accessing your Registry, which keys they are accessing, and the Registry data that they are reading and writing – all in real-time.

Run process monitor and install the trial software. Now find which key the software has added or modified, and note down the name and path of the key. Once your software trial period has expired, you can revert back the changes and uninstall the software and can install it again without any trouble.

Svchost.exe: 50 - 70% CPU load The SVCHOST.exe is started from C:\windows\system32

Unless you have a program to identify it, you won't be able to tell just what program this is associated with. You can actually have 2-3 instances of this running.
Here's what you do: Go to this link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals
Download the process monitor. It will show you what files are associated with which process and allow you to see if you can safely kill the process.

Too many program running at the same time. Uninstall the ones you don't use and stop the remaining ones to launch during boot - use this program for that

And do a general cleaning using CCleaner.

"low memory" message

Hello maxxoo,

There is a utility called Process Explorer on the Windows Sysinternals web site. It is very good at showing which processes are using a lot of memory. It may be helpful in determining what's causing the low memory problem. Process Explorer can be downloaded at this link:
