Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

Cell phone batterys

When you get a new phone always turn it on and let it run out of battery power then plug in the charger and let it charge the battery until it is full before you unplug it, that is the best way to get best battery life out of the battery, as with most batterys

I have a Icraig wireless touch screen tablet model number cmp773-GD , and it won't turn on or charge. Why?

If u just got it return it. your battery is died need new one.tip to make battery last longer. when u get a new battery by itself or it is part of something like a cell phone. do not charge most have half power right out of the box. use battery until it is 100% died.then charge it until full don't over charge. it is a trick to make your battery last long when it has a full charge. never leave battery charging overnight if done to much it makes the battery weak and wont hold charge for long. never leave charging cord plugged in when its not in use. when it is power from the socket is still flowing in the charger which is slowly frying it. that why most people go though up to 4 chargers for each device. i hope this helps have a sweet one!!

The S107 helicopter charged up successfullyfirst time using an Apple USB mains adaptor. I then tried charging it up from a computer USB and it would only partially charge with the machine turned on and the USB connector staying a solid colour all the time. It has now stopped charging altogether

Is helicopter off when charging? Will not charge when powered on.
Light on charger should go off when plugged into helicopter.
Also, are you running battery dead? This will destroy a Li/Po battery. Never fully drain battery. Run only until you cannot maintain altitude. Land and power off. Cool for 10 minutes. Charge. Cool for 10 minutes. Skipping either "cool-downs" will also destroy your battery, albeit slower than the full discharge which can sometimes kill a Li/Po battery in only 1 or 2 cycles especially when they are new. Have any friends with a cell phone or laptop (Li/Po batteries also) that they hate because "it's always dying" or "the battery only lasts like 4 hours" whether or not they know why, it is ALWAYS because they rarely charge them fully, especially for the first few charges which are crucial, and the often run the things dead until they won't even turn on.
Back on topic, I use and recommend the usb power adapter. When plugged in using the USB wall adapter, does the charging light still stay on? Certainly if "yes", and still likely if "no" sadly, this to me sounds like a fried battery, which, if it, as I suspect, was caused by frequent or early full discharges and/or hot charging/flying... then you're screwed. The batteries are cheap but quite tricky to replace. Need a steady hand and a needle tipped soldering iron and solder barely thicker than hair.

Hope I've helped,
PvT

I plug my phone into the charger and it won't charge.. it sometimes charges but I have to keep turning it off and on and taking the battery out and when it does charge I can't use it while charging or it stops or restarts

this problem could be a few things......either the phone jack where you plug it in to charge it- is loose....not soldered good enough inside the phone......or......the plug from the charger is bad...intermittant connection.........or........the battery in your phone is defective so instead of charging normally, it will only charge slightly until the phone says that there's a problem with the battery, so it will stop charging because it is trying to charge a bad battery....try to change the battery first with a new one....if that doesn't work then the first 2 faults that i mentioned would probably be the cause......of course you can always have the plug and jack on the phone checked first before you buy a new battery...it's up to you which one you want to try first.....good luck

you simply fried your battery by overcharging it. Just get a new one, let it fully charge and fully die twice before you start normal charging. Then you will want to only charge it for about 2 to 3 hours or find a charger that has a smart chip that tells it when to stop charging once the battery is full.
