This means it will make 100 requests at once. ALMOST DONE!! right click anywhere and select ->NEW->Integer Then name it as "nglayout.initialpa int.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. FOR INTERNET EXPLORER USERS 1. Click start> run 2. Type regedit> enter 3. Browse folder HKEY_CURRENT_ USER\Software\ m*cro$oft\ Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet 4. Right click at windows right > New > DWORD 5.Type MaxConnectionsPerSe rver> u can set value (the more higher the no, the more good speed u get, eg : 1000) by right clicking on MaxConnectionPerSer ver>Modify. 6. Create another DWORD>type MaxConnectionsPer1_ 0Server 7. Then put a high value as mentioned above 8. Then,Restart Internet Explorer... Opera 1. To speed up internet browsing in Opera, go to Network under Preferences, and set Max connections to a server to 16, and Max total connections to 20. 2. Users of old computers should probably turn javascript off by default unless a page requires it. This is one of the biggest slowdowns for web page loading, since Java, and Javascript can be very complex, and take a long time to load. Remember F12 toggles these settings easily and quickly. 3. Put the cache on a drive different to the one your operating system is installed and keep the drives well defragmented. A good idea is to put the cache directory on a flash disk. To put the cache somewhere else, add the following line to the [User Prefs] section of opera6.ini: Cache Directory4=your\path\here You can find the opera6.ini file in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile. 4. Favicons will use resources, if you need absolutely minimal resource usage, turn them off. You can do this by going to Tools -> Preferences... -> Advanced -> Browsing and selecting Show no icons under the Page icons section. 5. Use standard windows skin, and disable special effects, which will save a few CPU cycles. 6. One more thing. You can change the process priority of Opera to get a further enhancement (set to high). Do this only if you are not multitasking with other apps.

Try one of the other browsers.

Try downloading Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome.Unlike Internet Explorer they install in less than 5 minutes and they arefaster and safer than Internet Explorer.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download MozillaFirefox" (without the quotes). Download and Install Mozilla Firefoxfrom Mozilla's website. Do the same thing for Opera and Google Chrome.

I've put the links of each one below so if you like you can just click on themto go to their site to do the download and install.

Open Internet Explorer then go to www.google.com. Type in the search box "download mozilla firefox" (no quotes needed) and Press Enter. You will see where you can download it from the mozilla firefox site. Unlike Internet Explorer where it takes 20 - 30 minutes to install, Firefox installs in less than 3 minutes. It's a much safer and faster browser than Internet Explorer. You might also want to download Opera and download Google Chrome. They are very good and fast browsers also. In fact Opera is so fast and light, I use it as my browser on my cellphone.

Firefox or IE I've been using IE for ever, lately I've been hearing a lot about Firefox, and thought I might try it, what are the main advantages of Firefox, over IE? What do you prefer Firefox or IE? Thanks.

The user interface on the two browser is very similar.

Firefox is considered 'more powerful' because is more customisable, and you can download many extensions, that are plugins with many functions.

Firefox suffer less from virus problem, as there are more viruses designed to attack IE, however majority of viruses do not make any difference between IE, Firefox, Opera etc.

Internet explorer is more unstable and crashes more easily.

Sometimes new plugins (extension) can make Firefox slower.

Sometimes new download updates can make IE slower.

The two browsers are both good, and both work fine on most situation. I personally use Firefox, as it gives me less troubles with Windows.

My suggestion is : download and install Firefox, if you do not like it, then switch back to IE.

You can use both browsers at the same time.

Internet explorer is very slow

data card doesn't give you speed like broadband like speed. it connects you only at a speed of about 144 kbps. For a faster browsing... you can try browsers like firefox(realtively faster than Internet explorer) and opera (where you can disable images or set it to show cached images only ) . browsing will be comparitively faster.

hope to get rated as helpful.
