Tip & How-To about Video Game Consoles & Games
Many owners of Microsoft's Xbox 360 have experienced a massive defect known as the "Red Ring of Death." Because of it, Microsoft issued a 3 year warranty on all existing Xbox 360. If your Xbox 360 has gotten the RRoD, I would recommend calling Microsoft to ask for repairs at 1-800-4MY-XBOX.Microsoft will send you a cardboard box through the mail, but in that time, you may want to squeeze as much playing time as you can out of your Xbox 360. You can take a thick towel, lay it out on the ground (or wherever you use your Xbox 360), place the Xbox 360 on top of the towel, and wrap up the Xbox 360 with the towel in a way that you are not covering the back part of it (where you plug in your cables). Then, plug in your Xbox (if it isn't already plugged in) and turn it on while it is wrapped up. Wait for about two minutes until it overheats, and after that, take it out of the towel, let it cool down for ten minutes, and then you can play it for about two days (which is enough time until the box comes). Note that you cannot do this towel trick multiple times. Thanks for reading my nifty trick!
