Tip & How-To about Cameras

Camera cards

You should ALWAYS reformat your card after you have downloaded the latest batch of pictures. If you don't the card will eventually corrupt and you'll lose everything on it. Reformatting can be done from the menuing system of any decent digital camera, or even from the PC (but better on the camera).

how do i delete all pictures from memory card at once

The best way to do this is to reformat the card, an option which must be in the settings menu somewhere. This has the added benefit of resetting everything on the card. As a matter of fact you should always do this once you have downloaded the most recent batch of pics.

when i try to view my pictures on screen is says invalid jpeg?.. how can i fix that

Sounds as if the picture file is corrupted. You will have to delete this one, I'm afraid. To stop this happening in the future ALWAYS reformat your card after you have downloaded the pictures. The 'Format' facility will be in the menuing system somewhere - probably under 'System' or soemthing like that.

I have a san Disk memory card & when I put it in my screen locks on the greeting screen. Help?

Do you reformat your cards every time you download your pics? The card may be corrupted. You may be able to clear it and reformat it through a card reader on a PC. If this isn't possible scrap the card and buy another one - and ALWAYS reformat it.

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this camera photo recovery software
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

always assume that whenever you buy a usb interface card reader/writer... it always stores and copies data. you can either delete any data there and the latter. store it.

never the less, advise you to tell him/her that whenever card is corrupted, always look for a solution to reformat it. but reformat cannot do it... well, thats another problem. :)
