How to Post a Tip on FixYa

Tips are a great way to post common procedures and tricks of the trade that you find people requesting again and again. Tips can be rated just like solutions, and really enhance your My Profile page and the site as a whole.

FixYa has made some improvements to our UI, and there is now a new method for posting Tips:

1. Locate the product you want to post a Tip for, by using the search field or by browsing through Brands or Find Products.

2. Once you have located the correct product, click on the image of the product to be taken to the Product Page.

3. Click on the Tab labeled Manuals & Guides.

4. Click on where it says "Post a New Tip" next to Tips & Tricks.

5. Compose and title your Tip. Use the drop-down menu to indicate what product(s) it is relevant for.

The Tip will then appear on any relevant Product Pages, as well as on your own Profile Page.
