Weather proof leather boots

At camping stores you can find silicone based waterproofing spray. Just spray all of the seems according to the directions. In the mean time, if you have a tarp or floor saver under the tent it could go on top, tied down with guy lines if it is windy.

Oh, and be aware that even with waterproof tents, the water can sneak through if anything is touching the wet fabric. The waterproof fabrics hold onto water and lead it down, but the fabric itself is permeable, so keep bags and stuff away from the walls.

You want some? They make it. If you have no nubuck or suedein the shoes, canvas waterproofing tent spray is the best for this purpose! You can get that at shoe stores, shoe repair shops and outdoor stores.

im not sure if it will harm the material (suede/nubuck?) but supehydrophobic spray will do the trick.

• Purchase cleaning products and brushes directly from Timberland. Their products are designed for suede, leather and nubuck.
• Go to a shoe store like Footlocker and ask for the products they carry to clean your Timberland boots. Some sell kits and others carry suede erasers to clean the boots.
  

• Wet a rag and wipe it all over the surface of the shoe. Spray on shoe cleaner and rub gently with a sponge. Rinse and let dry. Timberlands dry quickly.

• Use a soft brush to scrub away excess dirt. Hold the boot over steam as you scrub.

• Try baby wipes to clean your leather Timberland boots. They'll moisturize the leather and clean off grime.

• Put your boots on, and use a wet rag as though you were giving yourself a shoe shine. Finish the spots you couldn't reach with a brush.

• Use mink oil or saddle soap on leather boots. Both will keep the boots waterproof. Work either into the leather with a soft rag.

Just get a few cans of Camp Dry or a good spray tent waterproofing. Set up the tent and brush the flaky stuff off and spray the whole tent. Allow it to dry completely before refolding. I usually get about 3 years out of one application. The seam tape can be resecured with seam repair products. There are gels, tapes and what look like glue sticks.
