Tip & How-To about Miscellaneous

RECYLCE PAPER

HOW OFTEN DO WE USE OUR PRINTER AND HAVE A LOT OF PRINTED PAPER AND THROW AWAY;;; BEFOR YOU DO, ASK YOURSELF CAN I USE THE OTHER SIDE FOR PRINTING PAPER FOR THE KDS / OTHER TYPE OF LESS INPORTANT "STUFF" I CAN PRINT? SAVE THEM, IT CAN SAVE SOME MONEY, AND GIVE THE KIDS SOMETHING TO USE INSTEAD OF THE WALLS.
JUST KEEP THE BOX, IF IT CAME IN ONE, OR A "MY CHILD" SUPPLY AREA.

Printer status states paper jam although there is

Have you check the rear side of your printer?
Try the below..maybe it will help...
Disconnect the USB cable or parallel cable from the rear of the product then turn off the printer. Turn the knob on the rear access door counter clockwise, and then pull the door out to remove it.Check if there is any paper there..

Your problem isn't too hard to fix. If you have a vertical line down the page chances are that your heat unit roller is either scratched and so can't fuse the image in that section or has something on it. This is a bit tricky to fix yourself as your supposed to have a tech guy take the heat fuser unit out. You can do it yourself but have to be confident that you can put it back together. Take care it's usually very hot.
This printer often reports a jam in the back paper loaders if a page doesn't grab properly (or you quickly remove a sheet just before it grabs to print). Simply open the back door and shut again. If this doesn't solve it chances are there is something stuck in there. Hope this helps

Samsung 3561ND fails to print double sided.

Do you use the duplexer a lot? It sounds as if the rollers inside need to be cleaned. I don't recommend doing this yourself as it involves lifting the printer off of the duplexer, and I don't want to be responsible if you accidentally drop the printer or you or someone gets hurt. But that's how to get to it; the offending rollers should be visible, and may be cleaned with a clean rag moistened with a multi-purpose cleaner. Alcohol is what's recommended, but I shy away from it as it's known to dry the rubber, and all you want to do it clean the built-up dirt and paper duct off of it. Let me know how it works, if you do it! If you opt not to, call a qualified printer technician.
