Laptop Graphics GPU Chip Re-Flow

I do agree that someone without technical skills specific to working on delicate electronics such as Laptops/Notebooks, should not attempt to re-flow a motherboard.
From what I have learned from those who have, the hot air gun tool should not exceed 200F to the GPU, which means that distance from the GPU chip-set to the nose of the hot air gun is CRITICAL, so as to not overheat the GPU.
To gauge that, apply a small amount of solder resin paste flux around the perimeter of the GPU.
Allow about 5 seconds after the flux boils/bubbles, then remove the heat.
IMPORTANT:The motherboard must be perfectly level.

how to open my cd tray when my senior button isnt working

Does this sound like; how to open the door, when the door handle is off?
Most of the time you replace the door handle or you ask a tech to repair this. Same for your CD tray. Let someone repair the button. Or if you are skilled in electronics, perhaps you manage to repair it yourself?
When you are not giving details about brand nor model, can't give more specific answers. Sorry

my kenmore oven keeps saying f7 and doesn't work

In another posting I saw that a Technical Data Sheet was taped inside the top control panel. I opened it up (two LONG screws mounted vertically in the top of oven door) and was able to access the Technical Data Sheet. It DOES have all the "F" codes listed, AND instructions for setting many variables within the oven. CAUTION: !!!! if you are NOT experienced working on ribbon cables, the delicate connectors and in close proximity to "hot" wiring... I DO NOT recommend attempting this... Call a repairman or find someone who IS familiar with all of the above.

The d string on my yamaha ev 204 electric violin has no volume w/ the volume is turned up . Any suggestions?

Hello, what a great violin to own, I am jealous. Each string on your violin has a pickup sensor under it. So, what you have are 4 sensors (one for each string) and the signals are then fed into your violin's electronics and mixed there to provide a wonderful rich sound. The sensor under the D string has a problem. I would look there first and in the electronics package last. The best advice I can offer is this, I also am a musician and play violin and 12 string ovation guitar. I have worked on both my instruments, unless you are very skilled in your knowledge of electronics and the delicate work on the sensors on your violin, I would take it to a craftsman (person) that has the skills to change out the sensor. Sometimes it can be a bad solder connection in the electronics, especially with the vibrations that an instrument causes, again, this would be for someone extremely skilled in instrument repair.

top screen won't lock

The solution depends on whether the damage is to the case or the hinge shaft. Either way this repair should not be attempted if you are not comfortable working with very small electronic devices. If only the hinge shaft is damaged you can get a replacement from here http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15853

If your case is damaged you may want to replace both the case and the hinge. Here is an example of a replacement case. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.8696

This YouTube video shows the process of replacing the case. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_sCoHGIpU0&feature=related

As I said it is a very intensive and delicate process but as long as you move slowly and have a steady hand it is doable by someone with basic electronics skills.
