Tip & How-To about Audio Players & Recorders

Pioneer VSX-D514 amplifier/receiver not turning on

I would like to thank the person who suggested this method to get my amplifier/receiver to turn on: With amplifier/receiver plugged into the power socket and the mains power turned on, hold down the ENTER and ADVANCED SURROUND buttons together for a few seconds until you hear a click and the LED display lights up.
This worked perfectly for me and it saved me taking the amplifier to a repair shop.

I can't get tv to send sound to sound system

Having browsed the user manual I wonder if you plugged in the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System while the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv was powered down via the optical cable .
Then powered up the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System first and then powered up the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv
Maybe the Polaroid FLM-2632 TV has to detect that the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System is connected and powered up when the Polaroid FLM-2632 powers up. To activate its digital audio out ????
The note part about only being available only under HDTV (cable/air) mode. Might be the cause of your hassle also ?

Pioneer audio/video receiver damaged

Hi...
The problem is probably that the bad connection "took out" a couple of the power transistors/power mods in the amplifier

If you need a pro to fix it I can suggest someone depending on where you live

sony amplifier/vcr problem

The Dog must have not liked the program? No what you need to do first is check the things that you overlooked as obvious? Such as mute switch, Balance control, Not in the right mode, speakers turned off, Audio cables pulled out of the unit. In tape monitor mode. Thats the most common thing if you have no sound after a bump from the rump of a dog, person playfull partner. Good Luck
