Error on Samsung Dishwashers - my fix tip

My new dishwasher, recently got the error where the "heavy" light started blinking during a cycle. The research shows it says water in the pan, which states you have to remove dishwasher and get the water out of the pan or blockage out of the lines, if there is one. A very disturbing thing in that you basically have to uninstall it and re install it. Instead I unplugged it, left it that way for 48 hours, plugged it back in and waited another 24 hours before trying to use it. Have used it successfully ever since.
Not sure this will always work, but it sure is worth a try to reset things simply rather than doing an install. Figured if I had to uninstall it and re install it, I would just get another dishwasher while I continue to fight with Samsung about their lousy customer service and support for their products. Esp since these items are only a few months old and we got a 4 piece bundle. Worst case scenario, we have to get a lawyer and file a lawsuit....if so, I'll make it a class act one.

samsung dishwasher heavy and delicate lights blink and cycle stops

The lights that are blinking are indicating an error code--the particular code you describe is a "heater error". You will have to check the circuit for an open heater element, loose or broken wire, defective main control board. The part number for the main board is DE92-02256C. Hope I helped you!

The Heavy and Quick lights are blinking

If it is a Samsung, which I imagine it is, then you have too much water getting in to your dishwasher during the fill cycle.

The two most common reasons for this error are: 1) too high of water pressure for your house (it should be about 50 to 70 psi, or thereabouts---Note: You'll need a plumber to fix your PRV valve if your water pressure is above 80 psi) or, 2) your water inlet valve on the dishwasher is bad and letting too much water come in during the fill cycle.

Try to reset the error by turning off the circuit breaker for your dishwasher for about 5 minutes, and then turn it back on and see if that clears out the error. Then, try running another load and if you get the error again, check your water pressure and your water inlet valve.

Good luck!

All my lights on the front of the dishwasher are blinking at me & stops running after 3 minutes into the cycle. What is the cause of this & of course, I am two months past my warranty. Help.

If three lights are blinking (normal, heavy, quick)... I just had this same problem, and I think I figured it out. There was water on the bottom from the last cycle, so I pressed HEAVY and DELICATE at the same time for 3 seconds (you'll see it printed on the control panel), and the unit drained. I was then able to start the new cycle normally without the error. Hope that helps!
