Block Spam or Unwanted Skype Messages with Ease!

Skype is a dominant software program for the business; not just because it lets you make and receive free video and telephone calls, but it's a better tool than the IM or instant messaging client. You can contact an employee who cannot talk on the phone; its IM service lets you communicate with the person via text chat or real-time. However, you may get spam, or undesired messages, from the unknown contact, which is the downside of any IM service.

You can block the unknown users from sending you unwanted messages by changing your profile settings. Take a look at the cited steps provided by the experts at the Skype support number the USA.

  • First of all, open the Skype program.
  • Click the 'Skype' icon from the menu bar at the window top-side and then choose the
  • 'Privacy' option from the drop-down menu.
  • Move down to the 'Allow IMs from' section.
  • Click the 'People in my Contact list only' box.
  • Finally, click the 'Save' button to apply your changes.

If you want to block or unblock any person further, then you can reverse these changes to unblock the person or follow these steps again to add more people to the blocked list. However, if you have any kinds of concerns, then dial the Skype customer care phone number listed on the Contactforhelp to get your anxieties resolved in no time. HI...........................

Skype is a popular, easy to use and reliable VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) program, that allows you call and talk to other Skype users, video chat and more for free over the internet.
With Skype you can not only have voice chats on your computer - just like telephone, only for free - but also make real phone calls at much lower rates, using the SkypeOut service and paying with Skype credit. Besides voice chats, Skype also includes standard IM functionalities (written conversations, emoticons, user avatars and so on) and also lets you have group video conferences.

Improved video interface These video calls are precisely the main focus on Skype's latest version. The program's interface has been completely redesigned with video conferences on mind. This means it's been made wider so that video fits in perfectly with your written chat, your contact list and a toolbar to manage conversation. The new interface is transformed when you make a call, getting rid of all the clutter, so you just see the video images, and controls. Group video is still being tested in this version, and it's pretty cool.
The sound quality during our testing was perfect: loud and clear. Video sometimes appeared a bit pixelated, but nothing we couldn't really deal with. There was also one nice detail, and that's the ability to see your own video image built-in on your contact's video, and the option to take a snapshot of your own image.

Facebook integration The other major development is Facebook integration. This is a pretty big thing, as not only does it give you your news feed in the app - anyone can do that - but adds call and sms buttons to any of your friends who share their contact numbers. If you've paid for Skype minutes, you can call your Facebook friends, and if they're also signed in to Skype you can call them for free. One of the best new features is the automatic call recovery - drop a call and it's put in pause. Restarting it is now really easy.
Skype 5 features a complete interface overhaul that now focuses more on video chats, and also adds some handy improvements to the way you communicate online.
Pros
  • Easy to use
  • Sharp videoconferencing mode
  • Keeps records of all your calls
  • Lots of features to improve your chat experience
  • Great sound quality in voice calls
  • Support for embedded local video on target video
Cons
  • The new interface is huge

can you teach me how to install my webcam/

More computers are coming with built-in webcams. They're designed to work in conjunction with instant messaging and VOIP programs like Yahoo! Messenger and Skype. Many photo editing programs, like Google's Picasa, can also capture photos directly from them. This article explains how your webcam with each of these free programs

1. Open Yahoo! Messenger and select "My Webcam" from the "Messenger" menu. This will bring up a window showing what your webcam sees. To invite one of your contacts to view your webcam, right-click on them in your contacts list and choose "Invite to View My Webcam" from the "More Actions" area of the pop-up menu. They will receive an invitation asking them to view your webcam.

2. Open Skype and select a contact you'd wish to call. Skype will automatically detect that you have a webcam attached to your computer and give you the option to place a "Call" or "Video call" to the contact. Choose "Video call" and you're in business.

3. Open Picasa and select the webcam icon to the right of the "Import" button. A window displaying a view from your webcam will pop up. Click the "Record" button or camera icon to begin recording a video or take a snapshot.
