freezer keeps running

If the machine is running all the time a few things could be happening, The defrost timer could be bad, but if that is the case then you should see a build up of ice forming on the wall that covers the evaporator coils. Another situation is that your machine is low on freon and not reaching a temperature cold enough for the temperature control to shut the machine off. Third and last the temperature control itself could be bad and thinks the machine isn't cold enough. in that situation you would notice ice build up as well. Hopefully this helps.

I see two possibilities. Fortunately they have the same solution.
What type and speed memory card are you trying to use? Is the card compatible with the camcorder? Since you didn't specify the model of your camcorder I can't tell you what type of card you need to use, but if the camcorder is designed to use SD cards and you're trying to use an SDHC card then it won't work.
The second possibility is that your card isn't fast enough to record video. There's a lot of data involved in a video clip, and not all memory cards are fast enough to handle it. The situation is much worse with HD video. Again, without knowing the model of your camera I can't tell you how fast a memory card you need.

freezer does not turn off, -2 degrees on warmest setting, can this be reset?

Hi, well this isn't something that can be "Reset'. You see what has happened is that the Thermistor and or the Thermostat is most likely the problem, if so this will need to be replaced to effect repair. Also unfortunately it maybe the main controller board? There is simply no way to actually tell with just these symptoms and without actually examining the unit. To effect a repair as fast and as inexpensively as possible the very best thing you can do is to call in a professional, contact a local or head office from GE, ask them for a referral to an authorised service center, then make contact there and ask for a service call. Now when you are in face to face contact, at this time ONLY, ask for a "Quote" as to what's wrong and prospective costings, and proceed from there, once you know what's going on?
Really it isn't a DIY repair, however if you do wish to DIY, then you would need to obtain a service manual, use that and perform and work through the troubleshooting steps to locate and isolate the suspect parts and then using the service manual to get the parts numbers, and obtain the spares.

We are considering purchasing the Onkyo NR 509 but have been told that there are major heat issues. Since it will be inside an enclosed cabinet, we have some concerns. Is this an issue we should be worried about?

according to the reviews Ive read on this receiver, your right, they have a major heat problem in the output transistors,, the heat sink isn't large enough to keep them from going out or they aren't large enough to handle the power, people have even tried adding a computer fan to the area of the transistors with no good results
