Tip & How-To about Miscellaneous
Super Duplex Pipes are mainly developed to be used in extreme stress environments. The properties of this alloy are very high which include, toughness, strength, corrosion resistance to a decent number of organic and inorganic acids. Super Duplex Pipes are similar to the standard duplex types, but they contain a higher content of chromium which enhances the mechanical properties as well as its corrosion resistance. Normally a Super Duplex Pipes contains 25% of chromium, 4% of molybdenum and 7% of nickel. It is particularly suited for warm-water chlorinated environments and acidic, chloric containing systems. Super Duplex Pipes types always show good fatigue strength and that's why they are always much preferred over standard duplex ones.
A pipe is a tubular section or hollow cylinder, usually but not necessarily of circular cross-section, used mainly to convey substances which can flow - liquids and gases (fluids), slurries, powders and masses of small solids. It can also be used for structural applications; the hollow pipe is far stiffer per unit weight than solid members.
