I`ve got a netbook Dell mini inspiron 10 and when I wanted to connect it to my TV with the HDMI cable I can see just the windows desk but nothing else. How can I resolve the problem?

what you are seeing is an extension from your existing desktop

If you want to see what is on your desktop on your tv then right click on an empty part of the desktop and click properties(XP) or personalise then click display properties and choose duplicate or mirror displays and click apply then ok and you will now have the same on both screens

Press F8 during startup to show the boot options. Boot to VGA mode (if available) or safe mode and change your resolution in windows to the recommended 1280X1080. To do this in XP just right click on the desktop and select 'properties', click on the right-most tab and move the slider.

In Vista this would be right-click desktop, select 'personalise', click 'display settings' and move slider.

Hope this helps,
