Tip & How-To about Miscellaneous

My tip is basic common sense. Don't text and drive. One might think this is no big deal but it really can be. I had someone show me first hand and now I am convinced of the importance of this tip. You would be so surprised how much time passes when you look down to text and then look back up to the road. Bottom line - too long. Try it for yourself and you will see that it is always a bad idea. If something is that urgent pull of the road and handle your business.

Transmission mechanically in park, but electronics still act like in drive.

I would first double check and make sure that it isn't still under warranty (if so, let the dealer deal with it).

From there, it sounds as though the nob wasn't the only thing you broke. It sounds as though you disconnected the position sensor. (don't know the specifics for Nissan/Infinity on how they structure their sensor, if it's a physical lever or what, but it should just be a matter of reconnecting it. It's most likely going to be beneath the console/shifter, rather than on the physical transmission itself.

nubira isnt firing and plugs are soaked with gas why?

I don't think it would be a fuel problem since you have fuel at the plugs. I would take the plug out and connect the plug wire to it. Hold the end of the plug against a solid ground and have someone crank the engine(insulate your hand if you are holding it). If you see good spark in the spark plug gap, that will rule out spark issues. Do it for each plug. If you don't have a spark, which I suspect will be the case, it will be an electronic ignition/distributor/wire problem.
